#5 Bulldogs Win Share of NSIC Championship

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The #5-ranked University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) volleyball team earned a share of the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) regular season title on Saturday, closing out the regular season with a 3-0 win over the University of Mary.

The Bulldogs finished with an (18-2) record in the NSIC, tying with Concordia-St. Paul and Southwest Minnesota State for tops in the league.

Hibbing, Minn. native and UMD junior outside hitter Kate Lange led the way for UMD in the win, finishing with a match-high 13 kills.

Based on tiebreakers, the Bulldogs will be the #3 seed at the upcoming NSIC tournament, with the team's first-round match set for 12:00 p.m. November 16 against #6-seeded Winona State.
