Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Dani Potter's goal in the 45th minute on Wednesday night proved to be the difference as the University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) women's soccer team earned a 2-0 win over Bemdiji State in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) quarterfinals.

Duluth, Minn. native Kelli Klun was a big contributor on the goal, with her long throw-in finding the foot of Maureen Stormont before Potter put it in for her 11th goal of the season.

Jennifer Schmidt then put the game out of reach in the second half, scoring her fourth of the season in the 68th minute to account for the 2-0 scoreline.

Marisa Rosa made four saves in the game to earn her fifth shutout of the season, while Duluth, Minn. native Sonja Barr finished with eight saves for Bemidji State.

UMD is now (14-4) overall this season and will face Winona State in the NSIC semifinals, with that game set to start at 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 8.
