Bulldogs' Farley Skates to Weekly WCHA Honor

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) freshman forward Austin Farley has been named the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) offensive player of the week, it was announced on Tuesday.

Farley led all WCHA scorers this past week, totaling five points as the Bulldogs earned a win and a tie on the road against Michigan Tech.

The UMD freshman scored three goals and had two assists in the weekend series, that added to his coming away from the games with
a +4 plus/minus rating.

Farley has scored seven goals and has eight assists so far this 2012-13 season, putting him tied for second in the nation among NCAA Division I rookie scorers.
