CSS Gets Past Northland for UMAC Title

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica baseball team edged out Northland College in game number one and then cruised in game number two to clinch the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) regular season title for the 18th straight year.

In game number one, the Saints rallied with three runs in the seventh inning and held on to win, 5-2.

In the second game of the doubleheader, CSS put up 12 runs between the third and fourth innings as they ran away with it, 14-1.

St. Scholastica, who has now won 16 in a row, will head to Ashland, Wisc. on Monday to take on the Lumberjacks once again at 3:00 p.m.
