Camaranesi, Welinski on WCHA All-Rookie Team

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey freshmen Tony Camaranesi and Andy Welisnki have each been named to the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) all-rookie team, it was announced on Thursday.

Camaranesi finished the regular season tied for the Bulldogs' scoring lead, totaling 14 goals and 20 assists. That places him tied for first with teammate Austin Farley for the freshman scoring lead in the WCHA.

Welinski, meanwhile, finished the regular season with four goals and 13 assists, with the Duluth, Minn. native playing a large role all season on UMD's top power play unit.
