Cloquet to State for First Time Since 2000

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Cloquet boys' basketball team is headed to the MSHSL Class AAA tournament for the first time since 2000, that after the Lumberjacks knocked off Hermantown 71-60 in the Section 7AAA championship game on Thursday night.

Jacob Bushey scored a team-high 22 points in the winning effort and Adam Laine added 20 points for the Lumberjacks, while Thomas Madison scored a game-high 29 points in the loss for the Hawks.

Seeding for the state boys' basketball tournament will happen on Saturday, but Cloquet's Class AAA quarterfinal game will be played on March 12 at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.
