Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- For the fourth time this season, the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) and Concordia-St. Paul volleyball teams faced off, but the Golden Bears got the best of the Bulldogs 3-1 in the NCAA Central Region Final on Saturday night.
Senior outside hitter and Kate Lange led the Bulldogs with 24 kills while junior libero Julie Rainey added 20 digs. Mariah Scharf racked up 10 kills while Maddy Siroin had nine.
The Golden Bears took game one before the Bulldogs stormed back to win game number two, (25-20). It was all Concordia from there as they win the next two games, (21-25) and (25-20).
Concordia-St. Paul has now won 39 straight NCAA tournament matches, dating back to 2007. They are also the six-time defending national champions. The Golden Bears will face Tampa on Thursday, Dec. 12 in the Final Four.
UMD finishes the season (33-3).
