Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) football team will call this Thanksgiving a "working holiday," but that is certainly a positive thing for the Bulldogs program.

That's because UMD will spend this week preparing for the second round of the NCAA Division II tournament, but head coach Curt Wiese says his guys will have at least a little time to celebrate the holiday.

"We'll practice on Thursday morning," Wiese said, "and then guys will have a chance to go be with their families. Local guys are going to host some football players, some more than others, and we're glad to have the opportunity to not be home on Thanksgiving."

UMD's second-round game against Northwest Missouri State is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start on Nov. 30 in Maryville, Mo.
