Eight Northlanders On Team MN for NIT

(NNCNOW.com) --- Eight Northland hockey players have been selected to play for Team Minnesota in next month's National Invitational Tournament, it was announced on Tuesday.

Hermantown leads the way with three players selected to the senior team, those being forwards Travis Koepke and Chris Benson along with defenseman Jake Zeleznikar.

Duluth East adds two to that senior roster in forwards Alex Toscano and Jack Forbort.

Greyhounds defenseman Alex Trapp, meanwhile, was picked to play for the Minnesota Under-18 team along with Cloquet-Esko-Carlton forward Westin Michaud and Grand Rapids goaltender Hunter Shephard.

The National Invitational Tournament will run April 25-28 at the Plymouth Ice Center in Plymouth, Minn.
