Esko, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Esko senior Savanna Trapp officially signed her letter of intent on Thursday to play Division I basketball with UCLA, the school to which she verbally committed this past August.

The 6-foot-9 center will be trading her hometown Esko, a town of about 2,000 people, for Los Angeles, which is home to more than 3.8 million.

Trapp has helped the Esko girls' basketball team the past three seasons to the Section 7AA championship game, with the Eskomos falling all three times to the Braham Bombers.

Practices for Esko and girls' basketball teams across the state of Minnesota start on November 19, with the Eskomos' first regular season game set for November 27.
