Eskomos Win, Trapp Closes In On State Record

Cloquet, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Esko senior center Savanna Trapp already owns the state record for most blocked shots in a single season, and now she is closing in on the career mark in Minnesota high school girls' basketball.

Trapp finished with 15 points and nine blocks in Esko's 65-37 win over Cloquet on Monday night, putting her at 639 career blocked shots with the state record standing at 643.

Claudia Turner also scored 15 points on Monday night, helping lead the #3-ranked Eskomos to a (17-1) overall record thus far in the 2012-13 season.

Esko's next game is scheduled for 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 31 on the road against McGregor.
