Eveleth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Curl Mesabi is the host for this weekend's 9th Annual Curl Mesabi Classic which brings in the best from around the world including two Olympic teams with action running through the weekend.

Two of the top 20 teams were in attendance, including Great Britain and Switzerland. The British are led by David Murdoch who will make his third Olympic appearance in February while the Swiss are captained by Sven Michel who make his Olympic debut in Sochi.

Micheal first made his way to Eveleth in 2007 for the World Junior Championships and said it's a great place to play at.

"I still remember how cold it was the last time I was here, but not that cold," said Michel. "The place is nice, a quiet place. The ice rink is cool, a big rink with good ice, and we've had fun so far."
