Sioux City, IA (NNCNOW.com) --- Former Duluth East standout Trevor Olson has been traded from Green Bay to Sioux City in the United States Hockey League (USHL), it was announced on Tuesday.

Olson had totaled seven goals and nine assists with the Gamblers this 2012-13 season, and he was traded in exchange for Tanner Pond.

"Sad day leaving the Gamblers organization but excited for a new start in Sioux City," Olson tweeted on Tuesday evening. "I wanna thank every one in GB for the great experience."

The former Greyhound will be joining Hermantown, Minn. natives Jared Thomas and Jared Kolquist in Sioux City, and the Musketeers are also coached by former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) assistant Brett Larson.
