Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Minnesota Wild opening night roster has six guys who used to play in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA), including former University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) forward Justin Fontaine.

With the team skating at AMSOIL Arena on Monday, we had the chance to ask a few of the old WCHA guys if they had fond memories of playing against the Bulldogs in Duluth, Minn.

"I think the last time we were here, we got swept," former University of Minnesota defenseman Keith Ballard said, "so, no. I don't."

"I remember coming in and all they had to do was beat us once to get the MacNaughton Cup, and we swept them," former North Dakota forward Zach Parise said with a laugh. "We won the MacNaughton instead, so it was good."

Parise's subtle jab at UMD aside, it's fun having so much WCHA history skating on the same professional roster with the Minnesota Wild.
