Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Four Duluth Huskies have been invited to participate in next week's Northwoods League Big League Dreams Showcase in Madison, Wis., it was announced on Monday afternoon.
Infielder Keach Ballard, pitcher Dylan Barrow, outfielder Austin Darby, and catcher Michael Tinsley will all play for the North Division team in the second game of the showcase, which will be played on Aug. 5.
The players will first get a chance for a day of workouts in front of major league scouts before the exhibition doubleheader, with proceeds from the event going to benefit the Northwoods League Foundation.
Tinsley and Ballard are the top two hitters currently with the Huskies, hitting .322 and .306 this summer respectively and combining for 60 runs batted in. Darby is also near the top of the team's offensive leaders, hitting .275 with six runs batted in this season.
Barrow, meanwhile, has been a workhorse on the mound for Duluth so far this year, but he still doesn't have a win to show for it. He is currently (0-3) in 10 starts with a 7.27 earned run average with 38.1 innings pitched.
