Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth East senior outside hitter Bailey Romans has verbally committed to play Division I volleyball at South Dakota State University (SDSU), she confirmed to NNCNOW.com on Tuesday afternoon.

Romans missed her junior season with the Greyhounds due to injury, but will be back with the team this fall for her senior year. She said her unofficial visit to Brookings, S.D. was what sealed the deal.

"It was a smaller town than Duluth, and I felt like it was really open and just really felt like a smaller version of home," she said. "I think it's going to be a great experience for me."

Romans was offered four full scholarship years at SDSU, so she plans to redshirt during the 2015-16 season before then starting her scholarship in the 2016-17 year.
