Huskies Beat the Border Cats After Rain Delay

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- After a two-hour run delay, the Duluth Huskies finally took the field at Wade Stadium Sunday night and went on to beat the Thunder Bay Border Cats 9-6 on Father's Day.

Phillip Wilson was on the mound for the Huskies who won their fourth straight game.

Duluth got the scoring off in the first inning thanks to an infield single from Trey Vavra. Conor Szcerba scored on the error.

The Huskies added three runs in the second inning. Garrett Larosa knocked in a run, Kyle Teaf scored on a wild pitch, and Szcerba added another RBI for Duluth.

The Huskies host the Border Cats on Monday at 6:35 p.m. at Wade Stadium.
