Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Willmar Stingers scored six runs in the eighth and ninth innings combined on Tuesday night, breaking open what was a tight game and beating the Duluth Huskies 7-1 at Wade Stadium in the 2014 Northwoods League season opener.

University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) sophomore Bo Hellquist took a no decision after pitched five full innings as the Huskies' starter, allowing just one earned run on three hits while striking out four.

Dominic Brugnoni hit a solo home run for Duluth in the bottom of the first inning, marking the team's first homer at Wade Stadium in nearly two full seasons.

Duluth is now (0-1) this year and will again host WIllmar on Wednesday night, with that game scheduled for 6:35 p.m.
