Waterloo, IA (NNCNOW.com) --- Not only did the Duluth Huskies win the Northwoods League North Division Championship Series on Tuesday night in Waterloo, Iowa, some of the players actually won some new, young fans.

4-year-old Michaela and 2-year-old Bella were near the field before the game and called out to various Duluth players for a picture and an autograph.

Several came over to the two girls, including Parker Trewin, Keith Curcio, and Clay Chapman. The players took several pictures and signed several autographs, leaving quite an impression with the girls and their father.

"I wanted to let you know that you can be very proud of your players," Mike Sorenson wrote in an email to Duluth general manager Craig Smith. "They didn't have to stand for a few seconds with two little girls they didn't know before a game they needed to win, but they did and really made it the highlight of our day."

Sorenson added that he coaches high school and middle school sports, saying that Smith should be proud of the character of his players this summer.

"Good luck playing for the championship," Sorenson wrote, "and congratulations on bringing some classy players to your team."

Michaela even managed her way onto the team bus following Duluth's 2-1 win over Waterloo, giving the entire team high fives while her father caught it on tape.
