Duluth, MN (Northland's NewsCenter) --- Northland native Jennifer Houck ran a personal best 2:33:00 Saturday at the 35th annual Grandma's Marathon, putting her in a great spot heading into January's U.S. Olympic Trials.
Houck has run five marathons in her running career, improving her time on each one of those races.
In Saturday's race, she finished in fifth place, just over two minutes off the pace of champion Yihunlish Bekele Delelecha.
Houck and her running coach, Chad Salmela, stopped by the Northland's NewsCenter studios after the race to chat with Zach Schneider.
