'Jackets Tabbed 9th in Preseason WIAC Poll

Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The UW-Superior volleyball team has been picked to finish ninth in this year's Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC), that according to a preseason poll of the league's head coaches and sports information directors.

The Yellowjackets return nine letterwinners, four of them starters, from a team in 2012 that went (19-14) and posted the most wins for that program since 2007.

Esko, Minn. native and junior setter Keely Deadrick enters the year as a leader of the team, being the only returning player to have garnered all-WIAC recognition last season.

UW-Superior will open the 2013 season Aug. 30-31 at a tournament in Irving, Texas and will play its first home game on Sept. 18 against UW-River Falls.
