'Jacks Fall in First-Ever UMAC Play-In Game

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Northland baseball team saw its season end in the first-ever play-in game to the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) tournament on Thursday night, falling 5-2 to Martin Luther at Wade Stadium in Duluth, Minn.

Dan Romano pitched 7.1 innings in the losing effort, allowing just one earned run on nine hits while striking out two batters. Offensively, the Lumberjacks were led by Matt Lennon, who was 1-for-2 with a run batted in and a run scored.

Northland ends the 2013 season with an overall record of (15-14).
