Jensen Leads the Saints in Rout of Martin Luther

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica football team routed Martin Luther College 48-14 thanks to three touchdowns from senior running back Jake Jensen on Saturday afternoon at Public School Stadium.

The Saints were down 7-0 early but Jensen scored on a 70-yard run to put his team on the board. He finished with 179 yards on 13 carries while Chris Gassert added 71 yards on just two carries.

St. Scholastica quarterback Tyler Harper racked up two touchdowns, one rushing and one through the air to Josh Simmons. The Minneapolis native finished 11-of-15 for 174 yards.

Alec French led the Saints on defense as he racked up a school record 21 total tackles along with an interception and a blocked field goal.

The Saints (6-1) hit the road next Saturday to take on Eureka College at 1:00 p.m.
