Jensen Sets a Record, Saints Rout Blue Jays

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Jake Jensen broke the St. Scholastica career rushing record and then led the Saints to a rout of Westminster College, 41-13 in their homecoming game on Saturday at Malosky Stadium.

Jensen surpassed the 2,043 yard mark on a 12-yard run early in the game. He'd cap the drive off with a 28-yard score and finished with 124 yards and two TD's.

Tyler Harper finished 7-of-13 passing for 138 yards and one interception. He also ran for 28 yards on carries. Chris Gassert rushed for 92 yards on 21 carries for the Saints too.

The St. Scholastica defense came up big, too. Mike LaValley returned two interceptions for touchdowns, a 48-yard return in the first quarter and a 83-yard return in the second.

The Saints (3-1) take on MacMurray next Saturday at Public Schools Stadium at 1 p.m.
