Kero Scores Twice, Hawks Beat Hilltoppers

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 2 Hermantown boys' hockey team used two goals off of the stick of Ryan Kero and Jace Thomas stopped 27 shots in goal as the Hawks stormed past No. 5 Duluth Marshall 6-2 on Thursday night.

Luke Dow put the Hilltoppers on the board first until the Hawks answered with five straight goals to jump out to a 5-1 lead. Kero had a goal in the first and added another in the second period.

Scott Wasbotten, Sam Gibson, Cole Koepke, and Eric Gotz all scored for Hermantown too. Cam McClure scored in the third period for the Hilltoppers.

Hermantown improves to (9-2) with the win while Marshall falls to (6-5-1).
