KoMet's Big Inning Beats Hawks at State

St. Cloud, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Kasson-Mantorville scored three runs in the top of the sixth inning on Thursday afternoon en route to a 4-1 win over Hermantown in the quarterfinals of the MSHSL Class AA baseball tournament at Dick Putz Field in St. Cloud, Minn.

Kevin Folman took the loss on the hill for Hermantown, allowing all four runs across six innings of work while striking out seven batters. He also was the only Hawks player with multiple hits, going 2-for-3 with a run batted in.

Hermantown is now (20-4) this season and will now move to the Class AA consolation semifinals, with that game against Luverne set for 10:00 a.m. on June 14 at 10:00 a.m. at Joe Faber Field in St. Cloud, Minn.
