Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Lakeview Christian Academy senior Anders Broman was named to Parade's 57th Annual All-America Basketball Team on Sunday, the lone representative from Minnesota.

Broman, who will play at South Dakota State University (SDSU) next year, led the state in averaging 42.0 points per game and finished with 5,119 career points, the most-ever in Minnesota prep basketball.

It's an honor that Broman says he owes to those around him.

"I feel very blessed. I feel very thankful to be put in a situation where I could accomplish this, but not without my coaches, teammates, and parents. They've all been a huge part of this, and they get the credit."

The 6-foot-2 guard will join a SDSU team that has qualified for the NCAA Division I tournament the past two seasons.

Broman was also one of five finalists for the 2013 Minnesota Mr. Basketball and led his Lions team to two consecutive Minnesota State High School League (MSHSL) Class A tournament appearances.
