Locals to Milwaukee for USA Triathlon Finals

Milwaukee, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- 17 Northlanders are headed to Milwaukee, Wis. this weekend for the 2014 United States Triathlon Championships, with a spot at the 2015 World Championships in Chicago, Ill. on the line.

Duluth, Minn. resident Jessica Rossing is one of the area athletes competing this weekend, with this marking her fifth time at the national championships. She's qualified for worlds each of the past four times, but she says the best thing is sharing the experience with people from the area.

"To hear Duluth, Minnesota be called out as they walk up to the stage, it's really cool," Rossing said. "You can't help but feel happy for them and feel proud because this is our hometown."
