Island Lake, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Duluth, Minn. natives Bill Lounsberry and Jim Busker caught six fish weighing 10.93 pounds to claim their first-ever ALS Walleye Tournament championship at Island Lake on Saturday in the 19th annual event.

Lounsberry and Busker finished as the runners-up a year ago and have been in the top three four times in their 14 tries at the tournament. For the first time, they sat atop the standings in 2014.

"The fact that we've been out here fishing a lot and knew where the fish were," Busker said. "That's obviously the key to this whole game, knowing where they are."

"It's fun to be the winner in the contest for a change," said Lounsberry. "First time so it was fun. It was a great thing to do."

Minnesota Wild assistant coaches Darby Hendrickson and Andrew Brunette came in fifth place with 162 two-person teams in all.
