Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- For the first time in franchise history, the Minnesota Lynx will have three starters at Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game after forward Rebekkah Brunson was named a starter on Friday night.
Brunson will join Minnesota teammates Maya Moore and Seimone Augustus in the starting lineup.
As the leading rebounder in team history, Brunson averages 9.2 boards and 10.6 points per game. Lynx coach Cheryl Reeve moved Brunson into the starting spot.
Lynx point guard Lindsay Whalen was also voted an All-Star as a reserve.
The All-Star Game is set for 2:30 p.m. on Saturday in Uncasville, Conn. at the Mohegan Sun Arena.
