Mangni, Thunderhawks Edge Hawks in OT

Hermantown, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Eli Mangni scored his first career varsity goal in overtime on Tuesday night as the #14-ranked Grand Rapids boys' hockey team edged #4-ranked Hermantown 5-4 in a cross-class battle of two top teams in Minnesota.

Mangni's goal is also his first-ever point for the Thunderhawks, capping off a game in which Grand Rapids twice rallied from two goals down.

Avery Peterson scored two goals for Grand Rapids in the game, and David Horsmann added two assists in the winning effort.

The Thunderhawks are now (9-3-2) this season after the win, and the Hawks fall to (10-2-1) with the loss.
