MN Native McCormack Commits to UMD

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Ramsey, Minn. native Nick McCormack has committed to play Division I men's college hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD), he announced on Monday via his Twitter account.

"Proud to announce I have officially committed to play hockey at UMD," McCormack wrote. "Thanks to everyone who helped me along the way."

McCormack spent this past winter in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) with the Brooks Bandits, totaling 12 goals and 27 assists for 39 total points as a team staple on the blue line.

The future Bulldog played three seasons of Minnesota high school hockey with Elk River, and he then played one season with the Cloquet-based Minnesota Wilderness in the Superior International Ice Hockey League (SIJHL).
