Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) men's hockey team and University of North Dakota have played each other 220 times and will make it 221 and 222 this weekend in Grand Forks, N.D.

For the first time since 1965, the No. 20 Bulldogs and No. 13 North Dakota will meet in a series that doesn't involve the WCHA. Both now of course play in the NCHC.

As UMD knows, a new conference or not, Ralph Engelstad Arena is always a tough place to play at.

"It's tough. It's a great atmosphere to play in," said UMD junior forward Caleb Herbert. "Obviously their fans are loud and it's an exciting atmosphere. It's a big rivalry game."

North Dakota's always a good team," said Bulldogs junior forward Justin Crandall. "We had a good week of practice. It was tough having that bye week, but guys are ready to go. It's a fun, exciting atmosphere to play in, that's for sure."

Both games will be broadcast live on the My9 Sports Network. Friday's game is set for 7:30 p.m. while Saturday will start at 7:00 p.m.
