No. 9 Saints Shutout By No. 6 Tommies at Home

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The No. 9 St. Scholastica men's hockey team couldn't get on the board against Drew Fielding and No. 6 St. Thomas as the Tommies beat the Saints 3-0 on Saturday night at Mars Lakeview Arena.

Connor McBride had the game's lone goal until the third period when Steve Sorenson made it 2-0 in favor of the Tommies. St. Thomas also added an empty-netter with three seconds left.

Fielding finished with 23 shots in the win while Tyler Bruggeman saved 29 of 31 shots for the Saints.

St. Scholastica (8-3-2) is off until Jan. 10, 2014 when they hit the road to take on Hamline University at 7:00 p.m.
