Ogichidaag Wins First-Ever Section 7A Title

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Fond du Lac Ojibwe boys' basketball team beat South Ridge 77-60 on Friday night in the Section 7A championship game, meaning the Ogichidaag will play in that porgram's first-ever MSHSL Class A tournament.

Cameron Thomspon scored a team-high 20 points in the winning effort, with Fond du Lac Ojibwe pulling away in the second half after owning just a two-point lead at the break.

Seeding for the state tournament will come out on Saturday, but Fond du Lac Ojibwe's Class A quarterfinal game will be played sometime on March 13 at Williams Arena in Minneapolis, Minn.
