Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- If you're trying to spot Superior's leading goal–scorer, it's easy. Just look for the girl wearing her hair down.

"Some people ask me why I keep it down, but it doesn't bother me," said Emma Peterson.

"Sometimes she comes and you can't see her face," said head coach Ernie Harker. "The hair comes all the way around. She just gets it moved back and goes out and right back to business."

That business for the Spartans freshman is getting on the stat sheet. She scored 48 goals this winter in her first year on varsity.

"You don't really see players like that very much," said Harker. "They're far and few between. She has a natural knack for putting the puck in the net."

All the while keeping her eyes set on a bigger goal for next season.

"Keep up the good work, and try and get to state."
