Rails Fall in State Semis on Last Second Field Goal

Minneapolis, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Proctor and St. Croix Lutheran played to a scoreless tie until the Crusaders hits a 23-yard field goal with 3 seconds left to inch past the Rails 3-0 in the Class AAA semifinals on Saturday at the Metrodome.

Neither team could find their way to the endzone. Joe Carter led the Rails rushing attack with 54 yards on 13 carries while Brodie Nordquist completed just one pass.

St. Croix Lutheran kicker Alex Bornschlegl missed a 41-yard field goal earlier in the fourth quarter before capitalizing on a 23-yarder.

Proctor finishes the season (9-3).
