Rails, Hunters Find Wins on the Diamond

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The Proctor baseball team and the Duluth Denfeld softball team each came up with a win on Tuesday afternoon, with each coming at the Wade Stadium complex in Duluth, Minn.

The Rails knocked off Duluth Marshall 10-1 at Wade Stadium, with Jake Malec's two-run single in the second inning proving to be the game-winning hit.

Proctor improves to (4-3) with the win, and Duluth Marshall is now (3-4) following the loss.

Duluth Denfeld, meanwhile, got a walk-off grand slam from Melissa Jarvey to beat Superior 6-2 at Wade Fields. Sarah Hendrickson was solid in the pitcher's circle, striking out 10 batters in the win.

The Hunters are now (13-1) after the winning effort, while Superior falls to (14-3) following the loss.
