Saints, 'Jackets Fall in Conference Championships

(NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica men's hockey team couldn't get past No. 1 St. Norbert in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association (NCHA) title game while UW-Superior was shutout by UW-Eau Claire in the WIAC championship on Saturday night.

The Green Knights led the Saints 3-0 after two periods and never looked back before winning 5-1. Dave Williams was the lone goal-scorer for CSS. Tyler Bruggeman racked up 17 saves in net for the Saints.

St. Scholastica finishes the season (16-9-4).

In the WIAC championship, the Blugolds built an early lead, and the Yellowjackets failed to get on the scoreboard as UW-Eau Claire won, 3-0. Jay Deo earned the shutout with 43 saves.

UW-Superior ends the season with a record of (11-15-3).
