Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) St. Scholastica senior Chelsea Johnson is headed back to the NCAA Division III Women's Cross Country Championships for the second year in a row after becoming the school's first ever region champion.

Johnson won last weekend's NCAA Central Region Championship and was named the Central Region's Women's Athlete of the Year on Tuesday.

The North Branch, Minn. native brings a five-race winning streak into Saturday's meet and hopes her style of getting out to a quick lead continues to work.

"I like to just get out and stick to a pace from up there. I'm hoping nobody will be able to catch me. It seems to work so far, but I think there will be a couple of girls who try to go out with me this weekend."
