Saints Rout Cougars With Record Second Half

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The St. Scholastica football team set a record and scored 48-second half points to blowout the University of Minnesota-Morris 55-7 on Saturday at Ordean Stadium on the Saints senior day.

The Saints led 7-0 at the break thanks to a 5-yard pass from Tyler Harper to Shannon James before things opened up in the second. Jake Jensen scored twice and finished with 222 yards rushing.

Senior defensive back Jake Turkowski intercepted quarterback Donnie Mavencamp two different times and returned each for a touchdown. Cory Gebhard also returned a punt 68-yards for the Saints.

St. Scholastica (8-1) will finish up the regular season next Saturday in Greenville, Ill. when they take on undefeated Greenville College for the UMAC Championship.
