Saints Women, Men Fall in UMAC Semis

(NNCNOW.com) --- Both the St. Scholastica men's and women's basketball teams lost in the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) semifinals on Thursday night, with each falling to Northwestern.

The women were led by the 10 points of Elena Huber but ended up being upset at home by a 63-50 final score, with the Eagles outscoring the Saints 15-2 in the final 7:33 of the game.

The men, meanwhile, were led by the 11 points by both Barnum, Minn. native Jake Naslund and Grand Rapids, Minn. native Mike Spoden in what turned out to be a 73-50 win for the Eagles.
