Superior Native Olson Signs Deal with Panthers

Miami, FL (NNCNOW.com) --- Superior, Wis. native and former Michigan Tech standout Brett Olson has signed a one-year, two-way contract with the Florida Panthers, the team announced on Tuesday afternoon.

Olson played last season with Abbotsford, the American Hockey League (AHL) affiliate of the Calgary Flames, and totaled 17 goals and 27 assists while playing in 75 games.

The former Spartan graduated in 2012 from Michigan Tech, where he played for four seasons and served the last two as that team's captain. He finished his collegiate career with 42 goals and 51 assists for the Huskies.
