Two Harbors, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- More than 160 kids got a major league lesson in Two Harbors, Minn. on Friday when instructors from the Minnesota Twins gave tips on the fundamentals of baseball as a part of the Play Ball! Minnesota program.

For the 54th year, the Twins will offer free youth baseball and softball clinics. On Friday, Odegard Park played hosted to the baseball clinic.

The clinics, which are free of charge, focus on throwing, hitting, and field but also carry a larger goal of creating more than just good baseball players.

"We just try to teach them really the basics, especially the little ones. You can't teach them really, you know," instructor Tom Sauer said. "And we try to tell them to be a good person. If you can't be a good person and a good player, forget about the player. Just be a good person."
