Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) is auctioning off an old piece of the scoreboard at Malosky Stadium, and the starting bid on eBay is standing at $1,000.

The piece up for grabs was in the spot of the scoreboard's brand-new LED video board, and it contains both a Bulldogs head and text honoring the football program's two NCAA Division II championships.

It's all back by gray paneling and is roughly 22x12-feet, which is the size of the new video board that took its place at the north end of Malosky Stadium.

The money raised through the online auction will go to benefit the UMD athletic department, although there is no specific purpose for the funds at this time.

For those interested in placing a bid for the unique piece of UMD history, visit eBay to view the official listing.
