St. Paul, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) sophomores Carson Soucy and Alex Iafallo are both participating this week at the Minnesota Wild development camp, but each is having a vastly different experience.

Soucy is a veteran of the camp, having been there last summer after being drafted by Minnesota in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

Iafallo, meanwhile, is in his first year at the camp after having gone undrafted before arriving on campus to start his collegiate career with the Bulldogs. He admits he was a bit wide-eyed to start, but he has since gotten back to business.

"Just watching them on the TV all the time and hearing their name, it's just great to be here," Iafallo said on Thursday. "It's like a dream come true, but at the same time you've got to take out what you've got and put it towards your game."

The prospects will have their first scrimmage on Friday afternoon at Braemar Arena in Edina, Minn., with the camp scheduled to end on July 14.
