UMD Football Picked as NSIC Favorite

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- The University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) football team has been picked as the overall and North Division favorite in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) preseason coaches' poll, it was announced on Thursday afternoon.

The Bulldogs received eight first-place votes to accumulate 215 points in the poll, narrowly edging the seven first-place votes and 212 points of MSU-Mankato.

UMD went (11-2) overall and (10-1) against NSIC opponents in the 2013 season, qualifying for a that program's sixth consecutive NCAA Division II tournament.
