UMD's Miller Earns Preseason NSIC Honor

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- University of Minnesota-Duluth (UMD) sophomore Chanel Miller has been named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) preseason outdoor field athlete of the year, it was announced on Wednesday.

Miller was named last month as the NSIC indoor field athlete of the year after finishing sixth in the pentathlon at the NCAA Division II meet.

The UMD women were also picked Wednesday to finish fourth in the NSIC preseason outdoor track and field poll, while the Bulldogs men were tabbed to finish sixth.
