UMD's Ring Adds Third All-American Honor

Duluth, MN (NNCNOW.com) --- Outgoing University of Minnesota Duluth (UMD) senior linebacker Colby Ring has been given honorable mention on the d2football.com All-American team, marking his third All-American citation following the 2013 season.

Ring led the Bulldogs in tackles this past fall for the third consecutive season, making 66 stops across 13 games played. He also shared the team lead with three interceptions, two of which he returned for touchdowns.

The Baxter, Minn. native appeared in 54 games during his UMD career, and his 283 tackles are the third-highest career total in program history. His final stat line includes 22.5 tackles for a loss, 8.5 quarterback sacks, four interceptions, and five forced fumbles.
