Superior, WI (NNCNOW.com) --- The UW-Superior women's basketball team earned a 72-67 victory over UW-River Falls on Wednesday night, marking the team's 14th win this season and setting a new all-time program record.

The previous record of 13 wins in a single season was set in the 1979-80 season, with that team ultimately finishing with a (13-9) overall record.

Sally Linzmeier led the way for the Yellowjackets with a game-high 22 points in the winning effort, making her the only UW-Superior player to score in double digits.

UW-Superior is now (14-3) overall this season and (6-2) in the Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC).
